Travelex has become aware of a scam involving unauthorized impersonation of Travelex on platforms like WhatsApp. Our name, logo, website address and other identifying details have been used without permission, in an attempt to deceive the public into making transactions with them, including payments for currency exchange.

Please be advised that the party using the name “Travelex外幣兌換” (WhatsApp no: +6011-67801157), is NOT affiliated with Travelex Currency Exchange & Payments Sdn Bhd (“Travelex Malaysia”) and/or all Travelex group of companies (collectively referred as “Travelex”). If you are contacted by this WhatsApp number (or any suspicious number or email not officially associated with Travelex) with a payment request, please do not make any payments.

Travelex Malaysia does not accept any form of payment communicated through unsolicited channels, such as emails, phone calls or messages. Under no circumstances should you make payments or share any personal details with these fraudsters, who have no connection whatsoever with the Travelex organisation.

Important Notes:
1. Travelex Malaysia only accepts payment (for currency exchange) in person at our store locations, and only at the time of collection, using cash.
2. Travelex Malaysia will never ask for payments via email, phone or other unsolicited methods.

If you suspect that you have fallen victim to this/ any scam, please take immediate action, such as:
1. report the incident to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM); and
2. contact your bank or payment provider to block any further transactions or request a chargeback if a payment has been made.

Travelex Malaysia has notified the relevant law enforcement authorities of such fraud. Please note that Travelex will not be held responsible or liable to any loss or damage suffered by you which arise from these fraudulent activities.
